Offset Printing Inks

Ink is one of the most specification-sensitive consumables in offset printing. Running the wrong ink for your substrate, press speed, or drying system leads to slow drying, setoff, poor trap, and color that won’t hit your aim points. MPS supplies conventional sheetfed inks, UV inks, and specialty formulations — all sourced to match the press and substrate combinations running in your shop.

Conventional Sheetfed Inks

Conventional offset inks cure by oxidative polymerization, making drying time sensitive to substrate porosity, ink film weight, and environmental conditions. We supply process inks (CMYK) and custom mixed colors for sheetfed presses. Our inks are G7-compatible and formulated to work within standard ICC-profiled workflows, so the color you proof is the color that prints.

UV Inks

UV inks cure instantly under ultraviolet light, enabling immediate finishing and eliminating spray powder from the pressroom. They’re the standard for packaging applications requiring high durability and gloss, and increasingly common in commercial shops running UV presses or LED-UV retrofit systems. UV inks require matched chemistry and roller compounds — we can supply the ink, wash, and rollers together so compatibility isn’t a guesswork problem.

Specialty Inks

Beyond process and spot color, we can source specialty inks including metallics, fluorescents, soft-touch coatings, and scented inks for applications where standard CMYK isn’t enough. If you’re quoting a job that needs a specialty ink formulation, call us early — some specialty products have lead times and minimum order quantities that affect job scheduling.

Ink Management

Ink that sits on the shelf too long or gets improperly stored develops skin, thickens, or loses tack — all of which affect press behavior. We can help you right-size your inventory, rotate stock properly, and identify ink that should be disposed of before it causes problems on press.
