Green Diamond™ AR Alcohol Replacement

Green Diamond™ AR Alcohol Replacement is a highly concentrated dampening additive formulated to eliminate isopropyl alcohol from sheetfed offset press dampening systems. Designed for use on most sheetfed presses and dampening configurations, the Green Diamond AR helps printers meet today’s stringent VOC regulations and workplace air quality standards without sacrificing print performance or dampening system stability.

Isopropyl alcohol has long been used to reduce surface tension and improve wetting in offset dampening systems, but increasing regulatory pressure and environmental compliance requirements have made alcohol replacement products essential in many shops. Green Diamond AR replicates the wetting and surface tension reduction of IPA through its enhanced wetting chemistry — providing clean, stable dampening across a wide range of ink systems, paper stocks, and press speeds.

The product is highly concentrated and cost-effective. When used as directed, a small addition rate of 1.5%–3.1% (2–4 ounces per gallon) delivers consistent dampening results without the volatility, odor, or regulatory burden of isopropyl alcohol. Green Diamond AR is designed to be used in conjunction with a compatible fountain solution concentrate such as the Rycoline Green Diamond 251.
