Rycoline Blue Chip 2 Step Fountain Solution is a highly concentrated, two-step fountain solution designed for sheetfed offset presses running with isopropyl alcohol or an alcohol replacement product. As the acid concentrate in a two-part dampening system, the Blue Chip works in conjunction with your chosen alcohol or alcohol substitute to create a stable, well-buffered fountain solution that provides excellent ink-water balance across a wide range of paper stocks and ink systems.

Versatile enough for use on all sheetfed applications, the Blue Chip formula delivers fast startups and clean restarts, reducing makeready waste and getting press operators to sellable sheets quickly. The optimum ink and water balance it provides helps prevent scumming, tinting, and emulsification — common problems that arise when dampening chemistry is out of spec or poorly buffered.

With a conductivity of 675 mmho’s per ounce (864 mmho’s per 1%) and a properly diluted pH of 3.7–3.9, the Blue Chip delivers the precise chemical environment your ink and water system needs for consistent color density and clean non-printing areas throughout the run.
